You can use whatever ground meat you’d like for this: turkey, pork, beef, etc. You can also use whatever lettuce you’d like: romaine, butter, even radicchio.
1 head iceberg lettuce
1 lb ground beef (I used organic, extra lean)
1 Tbsp chili powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp crushed red chilis
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1 1/2 tsp cumin
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
2 Tbsp water
1. Brown the ground beef and drain off any excess fat.
2. Mix the spices together in a separate bowl.
3. Add the seasonings and the water to the meat, bring to a boil then reduce heat. Simmer until the liquid is mostly gone.
4. Using the lettuce leaf as a taco, fill with meat, salsa, avocado & rice. Roll or fold to eat.
